Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how EFR Master Career Week (MCW) collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use our recruitment platform. We only collect what we need to run the event, and we never share your identity with companies before you are placed.
Who we are
Master Career Week (MCW) is organised by Erasmus Faculty Association Rotterdam (EFR), a registered ANBI association, [TO BE CONFIRMED], in collaboration with Erasmus School of Economics.
For any questions about this policy or your data, contact us at info@mastercareerweek.com.
What we collect
When you register for Master Career Week, we collect: — Your name, email address, and phone number — Your answers to the questionnaire (used to match you with participating companies) — Your CV, in two versions: a standard version (used internally) and an anonymised version (the only version companies ever see)
We collect this information to provide the recruitment matching service you are registering for.
How companies see you
Companies never see your name or personal details during the ranking process. They review your anonymised questionnaire answers and anonymised CV only. Your identity is only revealed to a company after you have been placed with them.
This anonymity is enforced at the database level, not just hidden in the interface — a technical safeguard, not just a policy promise.
How long we keep it
We retain your data for 3 years after your last activity with Master Career Week (for example, your most recent edition of participation), so that we can recognise returning participants across editions and maintain accurate records for the association.
You can request deletion of your data at any time before this period ends, using the delete-my-data option in your profile — see "Your rights" below.
Cookies and local storage
We do not use cookies to track you, and we show no advertising. We use no analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking cookies of any kind. When you sign in, we set a session cookie so that you stay signed in as you move between pages. It is strictly necessary to keep you logged in, it is only set after you sign in, and it lasts until you sign out or it expires. If you never sign in, we set no cookies at all — you can browse the public pages of this site without anything being stored on your device. We also keep one small item in your browser's session storage, to remember that you closed an announcement banner so it does not reappear on every page. It holds no personal data and disappears when you close your browser tab. You can clear cookies and site data at any time in your browser settings. Clearing them signs you out.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to: — Access the personal data we hold about you — Correct inaccurate data — Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten") — you can do this at any time from your profile, and we will erase your personal information while keeping only anonymised records necessary for our own audit trail — Object to or restrict certain processing — Data portability
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@mastercareerweek.com, or use the delete-my-data option available in your profile.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) if you believe your data has been mishandled.
Where your data is stored
Your data is stored with Supabase, hosted within the European Union (Ireland), and processed using Vercel (hosting) and Resend (email delivery). We do not transfer your personal data outside the EU/EEA.
